When I first started running, I struggled to find the right fuel my body needed and when it needed it.
A light snack that provides the body with important carbohydrates is ideal before running. Some healthy options include a banana, organic granola bars, toast with peanut butter or a small serving of oatmeal.
The best time to eat before a run is almost always dependent on the runners and how fast their body digests food. If you know your stomach is sensitive, give it enough time to settle. Remember to always experiment with your pre-run meal before race day.
