Body image issues affect both men and women

Body image concerns often heighten this time of year, as swimsuit season brings a host of fears about exposing perceived imperfections.

Though it’s become evident that society pressures women to look a certain way, it is important to be conscious of the stress men face when it comes to keeping up with appearances. We need to remind the males in our life that they don’t need the rock-solid abs and amazing biceps that actors, influencers and athletes might have.

No matter what gender you are, you should never feel the need to conform to someone else’s version of beautiful.
