The REAL March Madness – vasectomies

Vasectomies can be a touchy subject. However, those considering taking this step might be surprised to learn that March Madness is the most popular time of the year for scheduling a vasectomy.

That’s because the sterilization procedure, which involves the snipping of the vas deferens, requires a few days of rest on the couch – despite being a quick (20-30 minute) outpatient procedure.

Vasectomy is over 99% effective in preventing pregnancy and, while reversible, should be considered a permanent procedure. If there is any chance you may want children in the future, then it may be best to hold off.
