Refreshing summer treats in Boston

Last year, we asked Bostonians about their favorite ice cream shops in and around the city. This year, we want to follow up with where to get great summer treats. Here are some tasty suggestions to try as the weather gets warmer:

Hi B3ar – located in Allston, this cool shop produces the increasingly popular rolled ice cream.

Caffe Bene – this Boston spot has plenty of pastries and delicious frappes.

Emack and Bolio’s – with locations around the state, this shop has some funky ice cream flavors.

J.P. Licks – the classic. J.P. Licks always has a great cup or cone.
