Restaurant Review: Bar Mezzana

Bar Mezzana is a fairly new Italian restaurant located at Ink Block in the South End. Chef Colin Lynch’s menu features his love of regional Italian cooking.

The eggplant, chili and honey crostini and ricotta and peperonata crostini were both bursting with flavor. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop us from eating the warm bread selections delivered alongside the appetizers!

Agreeing we weren’t counting calories, we all chose pasta dishes – the sweet potato cappelletti, orecchiette with sausage, fennel and radicchio and lobster paccheri with tomato and green onions were sublime. A wine from Corsica, Domaine Maestracci “E Prove,” enhanced the delicious experience!
