June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month. This is one of my favorite months, because as a general rule, most of your plate should consist of fruits and vegetables of all colors.
If you’re trying to eat healthy and get lean, just remember to shop in the produce section of the grocery store and avoid processed foods. As Michael Pollan says, “eat food, mostly plants, not too much.” These are the most effective rules to live by. The American Heart Association has some good resources and guides, and if you’re looking for a tasty broccoli recipe, try this one.
