Pi Day. Somehow, it’s become a worldwide phenomenon that is celebrated annually on March 14 (coincidentally, also Albert Einstein’s birthday.)
But how did it get its start? Apparently, it began with Larry Shaw of the San Francisco Exploratorium, who realized the significance of the date when looking at the calendar and decided to order a bunch of pies for his staff. Now, it’s celebrated in schools and museums across the globe.
So, make like Larry Shaw and order a pie or a pizza for the office today. But don’t let anyone eat it until they figure out the circumference!
