If you’re looking to truly embrace Thanksgiving this year, a trip to Plimoth Plantation should definitely be on the family to-do list.
There’s a lot to see on the historic grounds, including a 17th-century English village, a Mayflower II replica ship and the Wampanoag Homesite. In fact, the people in the Homesite are all Native American and have extensive knowledge about the traditions and culture of their ancestors.
The plantation actually offers an annual Thanksgiving dinner for guests to dine among Pilgrim role players and Native American interpreters. Keep an eye out for festive events in December, too.
