What makes a great independent contractor?

As a freelance graphic designer for the past decade, I’ve come to several conclusions as to what exactly makes a great independent contractor. However, I think Solomon expressed it best in Proverbs 22:1 when he said, “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.”

While often overlooked, it’s of vital importance to do everything with this mentality and to execute all phases of a project as if your name were attached to it.

In putting this philosophy to the test, I’ve found significant improvements in:

1. Client satisfaction.

2. Word-of-mouth marketing.

3. Customer retention.
