Often, when pressed for time, people throw things down the kitchen sink without thinking – especially if they have a garbage disposer. Certain foods and textures can cause nasty clogs and unwanted backups and should be disposed of in the trash can or compost pile rather than in the drain.
Here are eight of the most troublesome clog culprits: coffee grounds, cooking oil, eggshells, bones, pasta, rice, flour and produce stickers.
While most small clogs can be cleared with a little bit of elbow grease and ingenuity, for larger problems, call your local plumber to keep your pipes clear and clean.
