Getting a dog when you aren’t ready isn’t fair to you or the dog. Whether you’re a college student, single professional or a family of four, here are some questions you need to ask yourself before adding a furry companion to the mix:

• Do you have the time? Dogs need to be walked multiple times a day.

• Do you have the right lifestyle for a dog? Dogs need space in your home, and they also need to be in a safe environment.

• Do you have financial stability? Vet bills, food, flea/tick treatments, chewed furniture, etc. They all add up!
