Why did you get into politics?
I enjoy helping others. Whether it’s working with the people to solve city issues or tackling something complex like housing or healthcare policy, we have a real opportunity to work together.
When you’re not on the campaign trail, what do you do around Boston?
I’m very involved in The Lenny Zakim Fund, founded by my late father and his friends, which provides grants to small nonprofits solving complex social issues.
Do you have any Valentine’s Day plans?
My wife and I will be celebrating next weekend by going to one of our favorite restaurants.
