As a dog owner, our pups are always best in show in our eyes. But in the dog show world, the competition is dog-eat-dog. No pun intended.
Surprisingly, shows don’t involve playing fetch or rolling over. Showing dogs is an advanced competition for recognized, purebred dogs all over the world. Champions must be groomed, exercised and trained for perfection to highlight the “standard” of each breed.
The road to best in show is not easy, and only the best good boys or girls will make it there. Check out the National Dog Show this year on Thanksgiving Day.
