October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and we wanted to give a nod to a powerful, local nonprofit called REACH Beyond Domestic Violence.
Founded in 1981, REACH works with survivors to foster safety and support through a shelter, 24-hour hotline and community engagement programs that work to promote healthy relationships. Serving over 7,000 people each year, REACH also offers supportive services that aim to pay special attention to the effects of trauma that each survivor has experienced.
Currently, they have launched their holiday gift program that provides gifts to 250 survivors and their families in need each year.
