In honor of National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month, we’re highlighting an amazing nonprofit dedicated to abolishing childhood obesity. The Eradicate Childhood Obesity Foundation (EChO) aims to provide adequate and accessible nutrition education to combat obesity in children, particularly those from disadvantaged communities.

The nonprofit develops and implements novel strategies to teach children and their families what they should/shouldn’t be eating. EChO also teaches how to identify hidden added sugar in these foods.

Currently, EChO uses music and augmented reality as platforms to deliver information to audiences. With proper knowledge and resources, the organization believes people will develop healthier lifestyles.
