PAIR, or the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation Project, is a group based in Boston that is committed to providing free legal services to asylum seekers as well as protecting the rights of detained immigrants.

With a staff of 11, PAIR provides a host of free services like referrals to reduced-fee attorneys, free legal representation, “Know Your Rights” presentations, etc. Also, pro bono attorneys are recruited and mentored by PAIR.

Last year, they provided services to over 700 immigration detainees and trained over 2,000 volunteer attorneys.

The group offers volunteer and donation opportunities to those interested in getting involved.
