Autism Awareness Month

by

By now, you’ve heard the stats. One in 68 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and 70-80% of adults with ASD are unemployed.

April is Autism Awareness Month. But aren’t we all aware of autism at this point? How about autism acceptance? Or better yet, autism respect. Respect is active, not passive. When we respect people with autism, we actively create pathways to success in school, work and life. And our communities are better off for it.

It may take some extra effort, but can you create meaningful ways to include people with autism in your world?
