Planning to book your next vacation through Airbnb? Here’s what you need to know to keep your browsing and transactions secure:

Airbnb URLs start with HTTPS – Scam websites are clever. However, upon closer examination, the URL may look a bit off. Don’t get so excited about the property that you forget to check the URL.

Do not wire money to an owner – Only pay through Airbnb’s secure site. Do not wire money directly to an owner.

If a listing includes a host’s contact information – It’s fake.

Read the reviews – If they seem too good to be true, they probably are.
