A recent Harris Poll survey revealed that only one in three people report they’re generally happy. According to Sonja Lyubomirsky, a professor of psychology at the University of California, Riverside, one of the ways we can improve our happiness quotient is to practice random acts of kindness on a regular basis.
In one study, students were assigned to perform five random acts of kindness per week. At the end of six weeks, students’ happiness levels increased by nearly 42%.
We all know how good it feels when we help others, so pay it forward and watch your happiness quotient improve!
