Autumn is a beautiful time in New England because of the changing leaves, but they can be pesky once they hit the ground. Follow these tips for cleanup:
• Use good tools. Make sure you have a rake that will do the job. Your ten-year-old rake with broken tines and splintery handle will make you work twice as hard.
• Aim small. Rake leaves into smaller manageable piles that are easy to pick up and bag.
• Work with the weather. Take care of the leaves on a clear day. Rain or wind will make your cleanup longer and more difficult.
