Racing towards Boston’s historic finish line

by Michael Polzella

Racing towards the Boston Marathon finish line? If so, you’re now focused on racking up miles to build endurance, strength and confidence. If you’re a charity runner, you’re also fundraising!

Charity Team’s Susan Hurley says local weather can be tough, so motivation’s key. “Stay committed to your cause and teammates and make training fun through costumes, games, competition and support.”

Although local weather can make training difficult, Hurley subscribes to the “Belichickian” way: no days off. “If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you. Most run the Boston Marathon to better themselves, and they end victoriously.”
