Lyme Disease – Know the Symptoms

by

Recently, a friend of mine, who hadn’t been feeling well for months, was diagnosed with Lyme disease and a second tick-borne infection.

There are over 300,000 cases of Lyme disease reported each year. In many cases, people have suffered for years feeling “off” but remained undiagnosed because they didn’t see the hallmark bull’s-eye rash.

Below are several symptoms that occur with Lyme disease. If you experience one or more of these conditions, consider visiting your doctor for a blood test:

  • Fatigue
  • Joint and muscle pain
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Cognitive issues
  • Numbness or tingling sensation
  • Depression
  • Headaches
  • Night sweats
