Trevor Schaefer, 27-year-old childhood cancer survivor, is making a difference with Trevor’s Law, signed by President Obama in 2016 as part of the Toxic Substance Control Act. Trevor’s Law will:
• Strengthen federal agency coordination and accountability when investigating potential certain “clusters” of disease
• Increase assistance to areas impacted by potential disease clusters
• Authorize federal agencies to form partnerships with states and academic institutions and help address disease clusters
Trevor has made huge strides, utilizing support from both sides of the political aisle, to enact change – impressive on its own after a political race that divided the country exponentially.
