How did you become a chef?

I almost attended culinary school after high school, but chose a journalism path instead. After competing in ABC’s “The Taste” in 2014, I made the career change.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love being my own boss – managing my schedule and creating menus.

What is your favorite food to cook in the winter?

French onion soup – it’s one of the best winter comfort foods!

What’s your favorite place in Boston?

As much as Boston has to offer, I prefer being home in front of my fireplace with my two bulldogs.
