How did you get into cooking? My mother was a caterer and we loved being in the kitchen together. I pretended to be Julia Child. I have a video of me at nine showing people how to make Jell-O!
What was your first professional kitchen experience? The Cliff House in Ogunquit, then The Flying Bridge in Falmouth, way before my career at Square Café in Hingham and opening Sorelle.
Who’s your favorite chef in Boston? I admire Jody Adams and Barbara Lynch and their staying power. In Boston, it’s like seven degrees of Jody Adams. Everyone’s worked for her.
