Visual Snow Initiative (VSI) co-founder Paul Domb presented neuroscientist Dr. Ed Boyden with an abstract brain sculpture April 3 to honor his support in advancing a cure for Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS) – a debilitating neurological condition that causes people to see the world through an overlay of tiny, snow-like dots with no relief.

Since May 2018, Dr. Boyden has consulted with VSI’s global researchers regarding new technologies to treat or cure VSS.

Artist Márton Váró created “The Brain” sculpture and donated it out of personal gratitude and experience with his child having a serious eye condition.
