Tesserae: Undomesticated bliss

by
mosaic

This stone piece is my passport to the wild kingdom. I can’t help but get lost in the motion of the marble that emerges from 60,000 intricate pieces of stone. The mosaic process is called tesserae and was inspired by famed artist Victor Vasarely.

Exclusive zebra stripes are thought to be by design; living mirages, master illusions in collusion with mother nature, striped intentionally to rattle the concentration of bad intentions. The spirit of this gorgeous creature, captured elaborately by this unknown artist, takes this stone lover to faraway places where animals run free and the imagination is hypnotized.
