Men’s Clothing Becoming More Custom-fit

by

When it comes to fashion, many men are becoming frustrated that nothing fits them off the rack. As a result, made-to-measure services, or what the Italians refer to as “Su Mirsura,” continue to rise in popularity in the menswear industry.

“Men are looking for a customized experience that comes with designing their own suit, shirt or jacket,” said Barry Segel, vice president of Newton’s Mr. Sid. “Made-to-measure is now 40% of our overall volume.”

Although men tend to purchase fewer items than women, when they do buy, they’re looking for something unique and of high quality.
