In terms of healthy ingredients, one overlooked and integral category is spices. They have some of the most powerful health benefits. One spice in particular that has been at the forefront of research is turmeric.

Curcumin is a compound found in turmeric that has been shown to neutralize free radicals, reduce inflammation, prevent fat growth, regulate blood sugar, help prevent cancer, fight depression, lower the risk of heart disease and brain diseases, and more. You can put a dash of it on eggs, chicken, roasted veggies or make Golden Milk by sprinkling some into warmed milk with cinnamon and ginger.
