The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce recently revealed the theme for this year’s Haunted Happenings Grand Parade – “The Magic of Hocus Pocus.”
The theme commemorates the 1993 film “Hocus Pocus,” starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson sister witches. The decision to commemorate the 25th anniversary of this Disney classic was an easy one for Salem residents, as several sites in town served as filming locations.
The parade is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. It will feature over 4,000 marchers and extravagant floats.
