MGM Resorts International put this western Massachusetts town back on the map, with a 2 million-square-foot casino, the MGM Springfield.
The casino itself features 2,550 slots, 120 table games, a high-limit room and a poker room. The restaurants on-site will be run by celebrity chefs, with other exclusive features being a hotel, spa and movie theater.
A sold-out Dropkick Murphys concert kicked off opening weekend, with plenty more shows to come.
With Massachusetts getting another major casino next year, a weekend of luxury and entertainment won’t be far away.
