A recent article in Newsweek Magazine reports that tree prices will increase 5-10% due to an “undersupply” this holiday season.
According to the National Christmas Tree Association, the best time to purchase a tree is between November 25 and December 1 to avoid last-minute price increases or lack of supply. Many even suggest purchasing before Thanksgiving!
Trees usually last between four to six weeks, and to keep your tree as fresh as possible, avoid placing it near hot fireplaces or heaters. To keep needles from drying out, try an equal part mixture of Sprite and water as needed.
