Art fellowship connects artists with nonprofits

by the100companies

The Art Connection recently launched the Artful Seeds Artist Fellowship, connecting local artists and artists of color with underserved nonprofits. Through the fellowship, an artist works with a nonprofit for three months, creating custom work for permanent placement at the nonprofit and facilitating art experiences with the nonprofit’s members.

The fellowship was tested in early September by pairing Cambridge artist Cicely Carew with Bay Cove Human Services. The pilot program was a success, as Cicely and Bay Cove built a lasting bond through constant communication and collaboration.

Artists or nonprofits interested in the fellowship should email info@theartconnection.org or call 617-338-7668.
