Safe driving habits for the city

Around the country, Massachusetts drivers are known for road rage and some pretty bad habits. Though we aren’t all aggressive, everyone can benefit from some reminders:

– During the morning commute here, bumper-to-bumper traffic is a given. Please do not use this time to check your phone; too many accidents happen due to distracted drivers.

– City drivers often forget about that handy tool called a turn signal. If you need to switch lanes, do so safely.

– Be extra cautious in residential neighborhoods and watch for crosswalks. Boston is a fast-moving place and many of us are on foot.
