Halloween is around the corner and neighborhoods will be flooded with trick-or-treaters from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Below are tips for trick or treaters and motorists:

For parents/kids:
• Wear a reflective vest OR have reflective tape on clothing and bags
• Avoid masks that limit field of vision
• Avoid all-black costumes
• Check all candy before allowing kids to consume
• Carry a flashlight and back-up batteries
• Stay on sidewalks and do NOT walk between parked cars

For motorists

• Take it slow
• Enter and exit driveways carefully
• Be on the lookout for children in dark clothing
