The Light Foundation has rolled out new programming in New England in the form of student leadership conferences, piloted last year in Franklin. Matt Light partnered with Bridgewater State University for their second annual event with students from Brockton, Fall River and New Bedford high schools.
The focus this year was “Bridging the gap between what you do and what you say.” With the amount of time everyone spends on their phones, social media and the internet, it’s increasingly important for young adults to develop interpersonal communication skills that they can use throughout their lives in higher education and employment.
