Joe Lemay and Jake Epstein grew up near Boston – Joe in Chelmsford and Jake in Westford. In 2014, the friends reunited over beers at Sligo Pub in Somerville to launch a new product: microwave-to-erase, cloud-connected notebooks. Yes, notebooks you put in the microwave.

Rocketbook presented its first product – the microwaveable Rocketbook Wave – at Launch Fest in San Francisco in 2015. The company’s journey thus far has included millions of dollars in crowdfunding, participation in Boston Techstars’ 2016 class, a stint on “Shark Tank” and a No. 1 best-selling notebook on Amazon – the wipe-to-erase Rocketbook Everlast.

Rocketbook is headquartered near North Station with over 25 employees.
